Yeshivat He’Atid students kicked off a wonderful Chanukah celebration at school. The early childhood students had a blast completing Chanukah projects and making homemade latkes with their teachers! The smell of fresh latkes filled the air all the way up to the elementary school hallway where students were singing and dancing to Chanukah music. Throughout the day, Rav Ronen circled the school to light the Chanukiah candles with the children. It was beautiful to hear the students singing “Hanerot Halalu” and “Maoz Tzur” together as he lit the candles and shared an inspiring dvar Torah.
The festivities continued as kindergarten through eighth grade students participated in a real game show where they competed in intense games of Simon Says, freeze dance and trivia. Even the teachers had fun answering tough questions like “What color was George Washington’s white horse?” After the game show, the middle school students began working on creating booths for a school-wide Chanukah carnival. Students are looking forward to the upcoming Escape the Room challenge as well as the middle school Chanukah Chopped competition. But nothing was more exciting than the special delivery from Krispy Kreme for the entire school!
