Yeshivat He’Atid’s FunRun Raises Thousands

This past Sunday, hundreds of Yeshivat He’Atid students and families flocked to the Frisch School track for a fun (and hot!) morning of exercise, achdut and chesed. Everyone involved came together for Yeshivat He’Atid’s annual FunRun—a fundraiser for the school’s scholarship fund. The day began with fun events for the kids: dodgeball, facepainting and cupcake decorating among others. The crowd then gathered together for opening remarks from Yeshivat He’Atid’s Head of School, Rav Tomer Ronen, before embarking on the running.

Races were held for a number of groups, with medals and trophies going to the winners. However, the real winner of the day was the entire Yeshivat He’Atid community. The school easily surpassed its $50,000 fundraising goal, raising approximately $65,0000. A big thank you to an anonymous donor who contributed $25,000 towards this important cause. As a yeshiva day school built on an affordable-yet-sustainable model, Yeshivat He’Atid does not give scholarships from tuition dollars. The school instead relies on lower-than-average tuition along with separate fundraising to ensure all of its families can fulfill their financial commitments.

In addition to all fundraisers, Yeshivat He’Atid’s FunRun was sponsored by a number of local institutions. Kol Chaveirim Day Care and Sterling National Bank (thanks to senior managing director) served as corporate sponsors, while Camp Shalom and Madison Caterers/Kosher Experience served as grade sponsors. Sponsors also included Camp Regesh, Chopstix, EJ’s, Goldman Orthodontics, The Jewish Link of New Jersey, LuLaRoe: Michele Cohen, Odeliah Weissmann Prominent Properties @ Sotheby’s, On the Table, The Rifkind Family in Memory of Stephen Janowitz z”l and the UPS Store on Cedar Lane.

Congratulations to Michal Pruzansky for heading up, yet another, successful FunRun event, and to the entire Yeshivat He’Atid community for coming together for such an important cause.
