Yeshivat He’Atid Studies Teshuva, Tefillah and Tzedaka

In preparation for Yom Kippur, first through sixth grade students at Yeshivat He’Atid had three days of special programming for Yom Kippur. The theme for the learning was teshuva, tefillah, and tzedaka, with one part of this triad discussed each day.

For teshuva, students learned about three essential components—charata, vidui, and kabbalah la’atid. For tefillah, students learned about the dual nature of Yom Kippur and focused on certain important tefillot of the day. Students created their own “al cheits” and the older students were given a machzor companion to enhance their tefillah experience. Finally, Rav Daar shared a funny story as part of lesson illustrating how tzedaka is not just a bribe for Hashem, but a true indicator of a person’s core values.
