He’Atid seventh graders were privileged to tour the Museum of Jewish Heritage. Along with learning about the rise and fall of the Nazis, students learned about the lives of Jewish men, women and children during the Holocaust. Students had multiple opportunities to demonstrate their knowledge of this horrible time and relate to what they have learned in the classroom. They finished off with an incredibly meaningful conversation with a Holocaust survivor named Toby. She shared her experience of being a hidden child. The students greatly benefited from her wisdom and story.
