YH traveled to Israel and back to celebrate Yom Ha’atzmaut last week. Teachers prepared many different interactive activities for the students. They zoomed their way through the country, from Yerushalayim to Eilat and Haifa. They took a virtual tour of the old city, “shopped” at the shuk, learned Israeli dances and so much more! Students ended the day with a school wide chagiga for the students and their families to enjoy.
In honor of the day, students were challenged to create a yummy Israeli themed meal. Many families enjoyed fresh baked pita bread, homemade falafel, blue and white cookies and much more. Kol hakavod to the administration and staff for working so hard to make Yom Ha’atzmaut so special!
