In honor of Yom Hazikaron the seventh-grade students, with the help of their teachers, created a beautiful and inspirational tekes for fifth-eighth graders. The tekes focused on honoring the memory of the fallen soldiers, highlighting a few specific stories and focusing on one soldier named Daniel Pomerntz, z”l. Students showcased his legacy and life through a meaningful dance performed by the seventh grade girls. The tekes included student monologues and candle lighting in memory of staff family members who have been killed in terrorist attacks and war. The tekes also focused on hope and growth in Medinat Yisrael. The students researched different organizations that families founded in memory of their loved ones and showcased them as examples of continuing, and growing, from loss to life. It was an informative and inspirational event for all students and teachers.
