Linking Northern and Central NJ, Bronx, Manhattan, Westchester and CT

The pre-k students were hard at work making charoset for their Pesach seders. The students discussed the different ingredients that are found in charoset and the various minhagim of their families. Some families even put bananas and pears into their charoset! During all the fun, the students had to be gently reminded that the charoset is eaten as a remembrance of the mortar and bricks that the Jews worked with when they were slaves in Egypt.
