Students at YH marked Tu B’Shevat with hands-on activities that connected them to the holiday’s themes. Early childhood students enjoyed interactive seders, baking, sensory play, tree painting and planting parsley seeds. Third through fifth graders took part in a bracha bee, while fifth graders researched a fruit or vegetable of their choice and created a project based on their findings. Middle school students explored innovation and design in the CIJE Tu B’Shevat Pinball Hackathon. Through creativity, learning and exploration, students gained a deeper appreciation for the holiday and the natural world.
