Linking Northern and Central NJ, Bronx, Manhattan, Westchester and CT

Purim excitement filled the air at Yeshivat He’Atid as students of all ages participated in fun dress-up days leading up to the much-anticipated Purim Costume Day. From Topsy-Turvy/N’nahafochu Day to Crazy Hat, Hair, and Socky Day, Decades Day, and Disney Day, the creativity was endless.

Throughout the week, students took part in exciting activities to bring the holiday to life. The toddlers created adorable Purim puppets, adding a fun and interactive element to the holiday story. Nursery students exchanged Mishloach Manot, sharing sweetness and friendship with their classmates. Pre-K students were treated to a special Purim puppet show performed by Sinai students at Maayanot, baked delicious Hamantashen, and crafted unique ra’ashanim to shake during the Megillah reading. Fifth grade students showcased their creativity by designing and decorating two different types of Megillot, deepening their connection to the Purim story.

In addition, the eighth grade students participated in a special project by packing Mishloach Manot for Project Ezrah, spreading kindness and generosity beyond the school community.

The celebration continued with a family Megillah reading, animated with fun characters to bring the story to life. To top it all off, all three Hurricanes teams—soccer, hockey, and basketball—were honored with a special Mishloach Manot tribute. This marked the first Purim in the fully completed gym—welcome home, Hurricanes!

With joy, creativity, and excitement, Yeshivat He’Atid enjoyed a truly memorable Purim celebration!
