Yeshivat He’Atid Buries Shemos in New Building

According to Halacha, any document with Hashem’s name on it shouldn’t be thrown out and should be buried. The Talmud (Shabbat 115a) stipulates that all sacred writings (scrolls of Torah, Prophets, and Writings), should be preserved in a place where they cannot be destroyed. Students throughout the school came together to watch the middle school students bring boxes of old religious books to be buried in the foundation of the school’s new building. May these holy books bring good luck and success to the new Yeshivat He’Atid building.
