Yeshivat He’Atid Debate Team Triumphs in Competitive Tournament

The Yeshivat He’Atid Middle School Debate Team achieved a remarkable victory earlier this week in a highly competitive debate tournament. Coached by Social Studies teacher Mr. Joshua Rubin, the team dedicated weeks to practicing their speeches, refining their arguments and preparing for cross-examinations and rebuttals.

The debate centered on the resolution: Children brought to the United States illegally under the age of 10 should be given a pathway to citizenship by age 18. Yeshivat He’Atid’s students approached this complex topic with maturity, empathy and a strong commitment to thoughtful discourse.

Facing off against talented teams from Yavneh, Kushner and HAFTR, Yeshivat He’Atid emerged victorious, earning the Best Team award. Additionally, team members secured individual honors, winning first, second and a tie for third place in the Best Speaker category.

Kol Hakavod to the incredible debaters on this well-earned achievement, and congratulations to Yeshivat He’Atid for continuing to foster excellence in public speaking and critical thinking.
