Yeshivat He’Atid Explores Art Through Sculptures

Yeshivat He’Atid second graders recently completed a unique art project, creating tin foil sculptures inspired by renowned artists such as Giacometti, Degas, and Henry Moore. Many students chose to depict poses from Megillat Esther, bringing the Purim story to life through their creative work.

After carefully securing their sculptures, the young artists experimented with light and shadow, using flashlights to cast silhouettes of their figures. They then traced and filled in the shadows with a black sharpie, producing striking and expressive compositions. This hands-on project combined art, storytelling and critical thinking, allowing students to explore form, movement and the power of visual expression in an engaging and meaningful way.
