Yeshivat Noam students had an immersive experience celebrating Israel’s 73rd birthday! Yom Ha’atzmaut programming highlights included multi-sensory activities including crafting, eating, dancing, IDF training and digging like an archaeologist. Early childhood students also made cards to thank the chaylim and created their very own Kotel! Elementary school students started the day with a beautiful Hallel led by the fifth grade boys. The students then learned and experienced how Israel is a role model to the world when it comes to volunteerism and chesed. Students learned about the greatness of the IDF, how Israel is on the forefront of worldwide relief efforts and how chesed is part of the fabric of Israeli society. Together students created a Havdala kit for the chayalim and they had a workshop about creating gemachs to help the community. In keeping with an annual tradition, the fifth grade girls prepared and presented an amazing daglanut performance! Middle school students had creative programming all day including an interactive game show with facts about Israel as well as physical challenges! Everyone enjoyed Israeli cuisine, blue and white cookies and tons of music, singing and dancing throughout the day!
