Yeshivat Noam and Moriah Tie in Soccer Season Opener

The Noam boys soccer team had their season opener last week at Moriah. It was exciting for the players and fans to be back, and the game did not disappoint. Noam scored the first goal early in the first period. Moriah then went on a 7-1 run over the next two and a half periods to take a 7-2 lead by the end of the third period.

Despite the deficit, the Knights refused to give up, and in the fourth quarter, Noam turned the game around. Noam made some defensive adjustments, and did not allow another goal. Noam also made some incredible passes and shots on goal. Noam scored three goals to bring the score to 7-5 with less than a minute left in the game. Then, in the last 30 seconds, the team scored two more goals to tie the game and force overtime. The game ended in a 7-7 tie, but to Noam, it definitely felt like a win.

Leading the way for the Knights was Yitzy Sulimanoff, who finished with an incredible five goals. Ryan Teller and Levi Eliason added one goal each.
