Blue. Pink. Purple. Green. Bursts of color were everywhere on the Paramus campus of Yeshivat Noam on Monday, May 26 for the Inaugural Color Me Fun-two mile family fitness experience. Over 1,100 people participated and enjoyed getting splattered with color. Over 50 volunteers, including several alumni, assisted as course marshals, color throwers, and event staff.
The weather could not have been more perfect: sunny, 80° with a slight breeze. A 25- foot tall wavy man and men in colored sumo wrestler suits greeted the participants upon arrival. To reflect the fun and the spirit of the event, adults and children came dressed in rainbow accessories, including multi-colored Mohawks, tutus, and other fun stuff. At the conclusion of the colorful experience, the DJ and MC pumped up the crowd and led contests and song with intermittently synchronized color tossing. The color canon was a huge hit and proved to live up to the hype.
This event was made possible due to the dedication and commitment of a strong steering committee led by Ilana and Azriel Rauzman, Jennie Mohl and David Isaacson. The committee met weekly for several months in order to prepare for the flawless execution of this complex and super fun experience. The feedback is tremendously positive, and we are confident a memorable day was shared by all who attended.
Yeshivat Noam is especially grateful to the event sponsors for making this a reality: Back to Health Physical Therapy, Palisades Dental Care, Links Residential Real Estate, Dash Printing, Growing Smiles of Engelwood, Rubin & Domeck, Esq., Tenafly Pediatrics, and Cedar Market, NJ Pediatric Neuroscience Institute, Krinitz, Krinitz & Sperber Accounting, JCC on the Palisades and Washington Avenue Pediatrics. In addition to these business sponsors, the Color Me Fun raised money through family sponsor pages. Congratulations to Elijah and Lea Mosberg for raising over $1,800 and winning the first place mini-iPad!
Pics and videos are available on the Yeshivat Noam web page and the many Facebook pages of the participants and the school. Stay tuned for the 2015 Color Me Fun details!
