Living the first two Mishnayot of Masechet Brachot, the Yeshivat Noam fourth graders witnessed first hand the transformation from night to day, from “dawn” to “misheyakir,” which is when it is light enough to see the difference between blue and white. The students, their teachers and their parents arose before dawn to join in a meaningful vatikin minyan. Following davening, they enjoyed a nature hike, hot chocolate and doughnuts.
