In the beginning of November, Friendship Circle asked us to come up with an idea to give all the Friendship Circle families gifts. During the pandemic, it has been very hard for the Friendship Circle families, so we wanted to do something extra special for them. All the Yeshivat Noam student presidents (Nesya Bayewitz, Miri Rubinstein, Emma Kinches, Sara Rolnick, Zachary Milgrom) shared ideas for the Thanksgiving gifts. We thought of many activities to include in the gift boxes, including turkey-themed cupcakes to create—and of course eat! We worked on our idea for two weeks and put in lots of hard work to get the gifts ready. Our effort was all worth it in the end when we delivered our boxes to them and we saw the smiles on the Friendship Circle families’ faces. Friendship Circle is an amazing organization and we love being a part of their community. We strive to continue adding simcha and being a part of these children’s lives.
