The Yeshivat Noam fifth graders completed their “Curious George” unit with a presentation, which illustrated the harrowing escape H.A. and Margaret Rey experienced as they fled France during WWII as German-born Jews with very few belongings, one of them being the manuscript for “Curious George.” The students used their knowledge and research to teach fourth graders about the Reys’ journey and all the obstacles they faced as they fled Europe
