Mrs. Shteingart’s sixth grade boys classes were challenged to match the brilliance of Archimedes and uncover how to measure the volume of an irregularly shaped object. On their own, the students successfully discovered the principle of water displacement and then continued to practice measuring the volume of many uniquely shaped items.
