Yeshivat Noam Sixth Graders Become Mesopotamian Market Merchants

In Yeshivat Noam, sixth graders role played as if they were merchants in an ancient Mesopotamian market. Some students sold fruits and vegetables, while others bought clothing and animals. Similarly, students had to prepare their goods for rain and floods. The sixth graders realized that writing contracts and recording goods was necessary and learned how early forms of writing developed.
