The Noam Knights entered Sunday’s game looking to avenge a 4 point loss to Yavneh earlier in the season. The Knights came out strong with a solid zone defense, led by Yoni Mann and Billy Krause, to slow down Yavneh’s quick guards. Noam stayed aggressive offensively and built an 18-1 lead after the first quarter.
Yavneh fought back with solid defense and several fast break points to reduce the lead to 6 at halftime. Noam stayed with its game plan and with the help of Sam Bendheim’s back door cuts and Gavi Antosofsky’s ball handling, built a 10-point lead going into the fourth quarter.
Yavneh kept fighting, but the shutdown defense from Yehudah Mirwis and Ruben Melzer helped the Knights hold on for a 14-point victory.
The Knights will now play the winner of the SAR-Moriah game.
