Yeshivat Noam is pleased to announce the opening of its nursery school, Nitzanei Noam. This exciting new preschool program, located at Congregation Bnai Yeshurun, will begin this upcoming school year and will offer a warm and stimulating environment for children ages 2, 3 and 4. Yeshivat Noam is very excited for the opportunity to continue the legacy of top-notch nursery programming for which Bnai Yeshurun has been known, while incorporating Yeshivat Noam’s high-quality level of education. Mrs. Joyce Buckman, Yeshivat Noam’s current Early Childhood Assistant Director, will serve as the director of the program, and will be joined by well-qualified and skilled teachers who will ensure a developmentally appropriate and dynamic curriculum. Morah Joyce will be onsite exclusively at the CBY location as director and will also be a teacher in the classroom.
“Nitzanei Noam will adhere to the mission statement that has informed Yeshivat Noam for the past 15 years—our decision making will be driven by the unique centrality of each child. Our experienced teachers are nurturing, sensitive and flexible and possess an intellectual curiosity that is passed down to the children,” said Buckman. “The curriculum is interactive and child centered with teachers acting as facilitators, rather than directors, of the children’s learning.”
According to the principal of Yeshivat Noam, Rabbi Chaim Hagler, “Over the past few years many parents have requested a nursery school and we are excited to have this opportunity to provide a quality program with extended hours and calendar all in a convenient location. Our extended hours for early drop off and late pick up will assist working parents in balancing their family and work obligations.”
While this new program is affiliated with Yeshivat Noam and will offer the same high quality of education, it will function as its own independent program. While children in this program are welcome to continue on to Yeshivat Noam, the school is open to everyone who wants to participate in this unique local program.
