There was no let down in the final game of YMSSA’s All-Star Sunday when two split-squads took to the court to showcase the local 7th grade talent.
The game started slowly, both teams adjusting to the high school-size court at the Torah Academy of Bergen County. The dark team went to the locker room at halftime down 23-20.
The second half saw the dark team bounce back and eventually run away with the game. Eitan Warburg led all scorers with 18 points and a perfect 10-10 from the free throw line.
This game also marked the end of an era. When the final buzzer sounded it was the final time that a Scharlat would wear a Yavneh uniform as the family is making aliyah this summer.
