Linking Northern and Central NJ, Bronx, Manhattan, Westchester and CT

Sunday, March 9th, was a terrific night for local yeshiva athletics. In a four-hour window, the newly constructed Torah Academy of Bergen County gym was the site of something amazing. The three junior high school games showcased terrific athleticism, standing room only crowds, and a feeling of interschool camaraderie that one would not expect at a championship game.

On behalf of all those who witnessed the terrific event I would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the kids for playing their hearts out; the coaches for all of the time and energy that they put into coaching their teams; the principals and members of the YMSSA board for creating such a wonderful league; and to Dov Elefant and Dovey Forman, the  league commissioners who have devoted tireless hours to making this league something we can all be proud of.
