The YM-YWHA of Union County, co-sponsoring with the Jewish Federation of Greater MetroWest, is pleased to announce fantastic community events taking place on Thursday, April 19. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and there will be vendor shopping (hats, jewelry etc.), as well as food available for purchase. The theme is “Israel at 70.” The Yom Hazikaron ceremony will begin prompt at 6:15 p.m. There will be prayers, speakers and a multi-media presentation in memory of terrorism and lives lost. During that time, there will be special Israel activities for younger children.
The highlight event will be the “Y-Studs,” Yeshiva University’s all-male elite acappella group.
This will be their second appearance at the Y, back by popular demand. These events are all free and open to the community.
Patron families ($100) get a Meet & Greet with the Y Studs, a chance for their children to be up on stage for a song with the group and front-row seating. Sponsor families ($70) will get front rows/priority seating. To become a Patron or Sponsor, please contact Jackie Baranoff at [email protected]. A special thank you to the Halpern and Kramer families, and Ilana Adams, chairperson, who made this program possible.
The Y is located at 501 Green Lane in Union. For more information, please call the Y at 908-289-8112.
