Ben Porat Yosef junior high students participated in a school-sponsored, community-wide Yom Hazikaron commemoration (memorial ceremony for Israeli soldiers and victims of terror) on May 4th. The students read selected stories and poems about fallen soldiers and presented a slide show. The selections were recited in both the original Hebrew and in English translation. Special prayers were also recited in commemoration.
