Guest lecturer Rabbi Dr. Jacob Reiner will offer “Historical Dimensions of Antisemitism” on Wednesday, May 21, 2014, at noon, in the Young Israel of Fort Lee’s Schlussel Sanctuary, 1610 Parker Avenue, Fort Lee, NJ (entrance on Old Palisades Road, diagonally opposite Monument Park).
Rabbi Reiner will discuss the diverse developments of antisemitism throughout history— in the Classical period, the medieval era, and the Modern era. He will discuss the different circumstances of these developments and their impact on current society.
Rabbi Reiner is Professor of Jewish History at Yeshiva University, Rabbi Emeritus at Congregation Ohab Zedek in Belle Harbor, NY, and a YI/Ft Lee congregant.
