On Monday, August 5, the Young Israel of Fort Lee will hold its popular monthly Lunch & Learn at noon and will host prominent author and international lecturer, Rabbi Yakov Horowitz.
The lecture is entitled “One on One With Rabbi Horowitz; Child safety, Addiction, Abuse & LGBTQ in the Orthodox Community,” and will be conducted as an interview format with a question and answer session to follow.
Rabbi Horowitz is the founding dean of Yeshiva Darchai Noam in Monsey, New York. He is an innovative educator, author and child safety advocate who has published child safety books that are found in over 100,000 homes in three languages. He conducts child abuse prevention and parenting workshops in Jewish communities around the world.
Rabbi Horowitz received the prestigious 2008 Covenant award in recognition of his contribution to Jewish education.
Lunch will be served for a modest fee.
The September Lunch & Learn will host Rabbi Ron Yitzchak Eisenman for Elul inspiration.
