On March 17-18, the Young Israel of Scarsdale (YIS) will hold a prospective new member Shabbaton to help those considering a move to the suburbs get a taste of the YIS experience. Including home hospitality with existing synagogue members, Shabbat services and meals, and innovative youth programming, the weekend will give all prospective members a chance to understand what life is like when attending this congregation of more than 450 families.
