Teaneck—Rachelle and Mark Zomick are this year’s guests of honor at the Young Israel of Teaneck 16th annual dinner. Tamar and Matt Lowe as recipients of the Charlie Gartenberg Memorial Service Award. The dinner is scheduled for Saturday Night February 14, 2014 at Keter Torah in Teaneck.

Rachelle and Mark Zomick have called Teaneck their home since they married. Mark grew up there and Rachelle was raised in close by Fair Lawn. She is a freelance school adviser helping to train teachers and build child centered schools for a better education.

Mark is currently a managing partner at MEC, a media management company, where he oversees the company’s Data Integration and Analytics practice. Since moving to the Country Club area in 1999, the Zomicks have been active at the Young Israel of Teaneck. Rachelle has served on the Sisterhood board, run numerous shul events and is a founding member of the popular TLC program.

When Tamar and Matt Lowe joined the YI community almost ten years ago, they brought their enthusiasm and love for community service. Tamar served as Sisterhood President for three years and is a Chesed Committee member. As market research professional, she has lent her expertise to our Shul, serving on the Rabbinic Search Survey Committee. A finance professional, Matt is also keen to leverage his talents for the Shul’s benefit and serves as the Treasurer of the shul’s Mens’ Club and also as a member of Yavneh Academy’s Audit Committee. A longtime attendee at the Hashkama minyan, Matt is part of that Minyan’s heart and soul.

Tamar and Matt Lowe are known as one of the most hospitable couples in Country Club. Families new to the community are familiar with theirwelcoming and delicious Shabbat meals. Tamar and Matt are the proud parents of four children; Noah and Abby attend Yavneh Academy while Lily attends the Forest Hills Jewish Center in Queens and Jordana enjoys time at home with Mommy. To be sure, the Lowes embody the qualities of recipients of the Charlie Gartenberg Memorial Award.
