On Sunday evening, May 2, at 8 p.m., world-famous kosher chef and author Susie Fishbein will highlight the Young Israel of West Hartford’s major fundraiser, “Celebrate by Design.” Susie’s wildly successful “Kosher by Design” series has already sold over 500,000 copies worldwide, and has led to hundreds of personal appearances and culinary adventures in Israel, France, Cancun, Tuscany and the Amalfi Coast. She has been named one of the 50 most influential Jews by The Forward and has been a guest on dozens of television and radio shows, as well as an honored guest at the White House in recognition of National Jewish Heritage Month. Fishbein’s presentation at the Young Israel virtual event will include insights from her career along with the preparation of three amazing and tasty courses.

Young Israel of West Hartford, founded in 1968, is a vibrant Modern Orthodox community and, under the guidance of Rabbi Tuvia Brander, is an integral part of the Greater Hartford Jewish community.
