YU Library Lectures to Host Prof. Claude Stuczynski, Speaking on Herman Prins Salomon’s Legacy

Yeshiva University’s YU Library Lectures will be hosting Professor Claude (Dov) Stuczynski of Bar-Ilan University over Zoom for a memorial lecture in honor of the historian of Portuguese Jewry, Prof. Herman Prins Salomon. The program will take place on Thursday, Feb. 20 at 7 p.m. in the fifth floor Mendel Gottesman Library and over Zoom.

Stuczynski will offer an analysis of Salomon’s personal attachment to the Portuguese people and their rich culture, and illustrate how it informed his approach to the history of Western Sephardim and the Inquisition.

This event is cosponsored by the Diasporas Project at the Rabbi Arthur Schneier Program for International Affairs and the Bernard Revel Graduate School.
