(yumacs.com) Competing in their final regular season dual match, the Yeshiva Women’s Tennis Team took down St. Joseph’s University Long Island, defeating the Golden Eagles by a score of 6-1 on Thursday, Sept. 26.
The Maccabees started out strong, taking two of the three wins in doubles play to take a 1-0 lead headed into singles. Yeshiva continued their excellent play in their singles matches, winning five of six to take that contest, 6-1.
About the result, Coach Miller had to say, “put us right back in the conference playoff hunt. Played our best match under the toughest circumstances, on the road and a must win.”
With the win, the Macs close out the season with a 4-4 record, 3-3 in conference play.
