Yudin’s Appliances’ Passaic store officially reopened its redesigned showroom. This location has been a hub of Yudin’s for almost 20 years, and was recently gutted and renovated with “all new flooring, all new displays, new awning, new everything,” according to Ariel Yudin, a fourth-generation employee at the store. This location is secondary to their 6,000-square-foot, two-floor showroom in Wyckoff, which opened 53 years ago.
To celebrate the occasion, Yudin’s invited the community to a grand reopening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, raffles on appliances like air fryers and ice machines and a Cholov Yisroel ice cream truck all the way from Lakewood. The aim of the event was “saying hello to the community … and integrating ourselves into it, like we’ve been doing forever,” according to Ariel. Community interaction is an imperative goal for a family-run business like Yudin’s. “Our philosophy is to treat the community like they’re family and treat your employees like they’re family. That’s how we’ve been in business since 1935 and, you know, we hope to do another 90 years or more.” Ariel appreciates the ability he has to interact with his family every day and the opportunity to carry on his family’s legacy. Joy Wilson, the event planner and social media coordinator for Yudin’s, elaborated on this goal. “We really wanted to give back to the community and thank them for their support. We love to give back.”
