Mark the date, Monday August 14, at 5 p.m. Author Leah Escott is excited to introduce the community to her latest children’s book, “Nameless: A Scary Poem for Children.” This book is geared for fifth grade and above, but all children are welcome, and readings will be selected appropriately. This will be followed by a short workshop on poetry and rhyming and will conclude with the much-awaited presentation of Escott’s latest book to recipient Becca Waltuch. Becca is the lucky lottery winner from last year’s book event and should be commended on her patience. Who will be the lucky winner of Escott’s next book at Monday’s lottery drawing?

Some may be familiar with Leah’s first and second books, “Rosey Raises Roses” and “How I Wonder.” It’s a great opportunity to have your fledgling writers meet a real-life author and see that their dreams can come true.

Both Leah and Reuven Escott have been active members of the Bergenfield Jewish community, and Leah is excited to announce that she will be running as a candidate for the Bergenfield board of education in the next election.
