Showing your Jewish pride speaks volumes in the current environment. One local woman has launched an initiative enabling people to give the gift of exquisite Star of David jewelry while providing life-saving medical equipment to the IDF.
Jody Shukovsky launched the jewelry sale on a Facebook page two weeks ago to dovetail with the gifting season of Chanukah, with 100% of the profits going straight to Levechad4IDF.com, the association for Israel’s soldiers. That is every cent above cost, meaning all of the profit.
There has already been word from the front lines, using the profits earned from these Magen David sales. One of Israel’s brave injured IDF soldiers was saved last week by a special tourniquet purchased and provided by Levechad4IDF.com.
Shukovsky has partnered with a New York jeweler, a friend in the jewelry business at the Chabad of Fort Lee, along with Shukovsky’s father, Lee Blatman of Australian Diamond Supply Ltd. on 47th street in New York City, to provide several attractive styles of Star of David pendants on a chain, at various reasonable price points. While many products are usually priced at two times or more of their cost, these pendants are specially priced because all of the profit is going directly to Levechad4IDF.
The $72 Magen David pendant provides $32 of profit; the $80 pendant provides $35 profit; the $90 pendant provides $40 profit; and the $360 chai with diamonds pendant provides $142 profit. In all cases the difference is cost. The chains and pendants are either sterling silver or 14K gold.
Shukovsky also designed and commissioned an original, custom-created “Israel map” pendant that can be ordered in white or yellow gold or sterling silver for $72-$360 following the above cost-profit model.
This elegantly designed jewelry is available immediately and easily via direct online order from the Levechad4IDF.com website, and often includes same or next-day delivery. Receipts will display line item cost and profit/donation amount identifying Levechad4IDF.com as the recipient, and are reported to be tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. Payment accepted is Zelle, Google Pay or credit card.

Funds raised are designated for emergency medical equipment for the IDF and are transferred electronically for immediate purchase and delivery of those essential supplies wherever they are needed.
