Lubavitch on the Palisades Offers Two Upcoming Trips

Lubavitch on the Palisades will be taking a trip to the gravesite of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Shneerson, Wednesday, June 13, in honor of the 24th yahrtzeit. Buses will be leaving from 11 Harold St., Tenafly, New Jersey, at 6 p.m. for the cemetery in Queens, New York. Special program and light refreshments at the ohel (cemetery). Please RSVP to reserve a spot: www.chabadlubavitch.org/oheltrip or call 201-871-1152. Suggested donation: $20. All are welcome.

Later that week, commemorating 24 years of the Lubavitcher Rebbe’s passing, join Lubavitch on the Palisades for a Shabbaton with guest speaker Rabbi Moshe Bryski on Friday, June 15, at 6:30 p.m. Topic: The Courage to Change—Much has been said about the word change yet we as Jews have our own understanding of the word, a change that is meant to bring us closer to being the person we are always meant to be. A look at the simple prayer of serenity “Lord please grant me the serenity to accept that which cannot be changed, the courage to change that which can and the wisdom to know the difference.”

RSVP for dinner a must: www.chabadlubavitch.org/shabbaton, 201-871-1152. $26/person

The inspiration continues Shabbat day with an 11 a.m. sermon on “The Legacy of the Lubavitcher Rebbe—The Infinite Value of the Individual Jew,” and an 8 p.m. Seudah Sh’lishit “entitled The Passion of Judaism—Does passion lead to practice or vice versa?”

All at Lubavitch on the Palisades, located at 11 Harold St., Tenafly.
