SAR Academy’s second grade marked the beginning of their study of Chumash with a weeklong series of Chumash Play celebrations. The school was pleased to welcome parents and grandparents to the in-person audience as each class presented their own Chumash Play—singing, performing hand motions and speaking in Hebrew about the Torah. Everyone enjoyed the intimate setting of each class having the opportunity to perform on its own and seeing each of the second graders truly shine!

The celebration continued with Rabbi Barry Dov Katz, a community rabbi and sofer, who visited on Monday to teach the students all about safrut.
