A Chag Pesach Kasher V’Sameach

We know there’s a great deal happening in this complicated world.

Approaching Pesach, we want to thank you for opening these pages, patronizing our loyal advertisers and seeing your synagogues, schools, sports teams, Jewish leaders, Jewish organizations and, most importantly, yourselves from the front page all the way through The Jewish Link.

We’ve spent the year with you since last Pesach experiencing news and events as wide-ranging as the nation’s presidential election to stories covering acts of chesed from organizations like SINAI Schools, Project Ezrah, Tomchei Shabbos, Renewal, Chai Lifeline and countless others.

Sometimes the news has been difficult, such as the spike in anti-Semitic acts we’ve witnessed this year. Particularly disheartening have been the threats to our local JCCs and vandalism at Jewish cemeteries, both of which made national headlines. But sometimes that news can be encouraging, especially when we hear people such as U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley tell 18,000 AIPAC attendees recently that there’s a “new sheriff in town” when referring to efforts to de-legitimize Israel. We are appreciative of our elected representatives who consider the protection of Israel as one of their biggest priorities.

When we get together at our Seder tables Monday and Tuesday nights, we’ll be with our families and friends, telling the story of our exodus and freedom from Mitzrayim, our bondage.

We wish for all of our readers and advertisers, our friends, our critics, our letter writers, our Facebook followers—everyone—that they should find themselves free from their own personal chametz, and that this year’s Pesach should answer every important question with new meaning and possibilities.

From our families to yours, we wish you a wonderful, meaningful chag kasher v’sameach!
