Wine holds a featured place on the Purim Seudah table and is integral to the Pesach Seder. So get ready with a tasting of over 100 wines at Englewood’s Congregation Ahavath Torah Sisterhood Wine Tasting and Sale, Saturday night at 9 p.m. Tickets can be purchased on the Ahavath Torah website and at the door.
Co-chair Lindsay Setton said there will be a mix of wines to appeal to both the novice drinker who wants to learn and the more knowledgeable consumer looking for a new discovery. “Every wine available to sample will have an expert wine connoisseur from the company speaking about the different tastes and finishes to give you guidance,” she said.
Setton said select wines will be available by the case at excellent prices including Zmora Cabernet Sauvignon; Chateauneuf White and Red; Goose Bay Pinot Grigio, Viognier, and Pinot Noir; Joyvin White, and Teal Lake Moscato. A selection of Scotches will also be available to taste and purchase.
Music from the West Hills Project Jazz Band and a selection of Anderson International kosher cheeses will bring an added dimension to the event. “This is a fun night out to enjoy with family and friends and learn about kosher wines from all over the world,” Setton said.
