AIFL Flag Football League Finishes Successful Season

What a fantastic fall 2016 for the more than 330 kids who played in the AIFL Flag Football League. It was a 10 week, eight game season at Overpeck Park in Palisades Park that began in early September and finished with a bang on Thanksgiving weekend. The championship games are most often the best to watch because the players are so amped up and ready to go. This year was no different. Their skills improved vastly from the first week of play and were severely tested in the final matchups.

This year’s championship teams included:

The K/1st grade Chiefs

The 2nd/3rd grade Cardinals (Eastern Conference)

The 2nd/3rd grade Broncos (Western Conference)

The 4th/5th grade Vikings (Eastern Conference)

The 4th/5th grade Colts (Western Conference)

The 6th-8th grade Vikings

Congratulations to all the winners and a huge thank you to all the coaches for an outstanding job on and off the field. The winter and spring registration is now open. You can register on the website at www.aiflag.com. Click on the Bergen County tab to sign up.

The winter league will be played in the arena in Paramus on Rt. 17 (old K-Mart building) and will begin on Sunday, January 8. You can register as an individual player or as a team. This is the only opportunity the league offers to gather your friends and play as a team. Teams require eight players minimum. All games are played on Sundays between 11am and 2pm.
