Hundreds of AMIT supporters came together at New York’s Pier Sixty on Sunday evening, November 20, to honor Deena and Adam Shiff of Manhattan; two generations of the Miller family of Manhattan and Great Neck, New York; and Amanda and Isaac Benishai of Riverdale, New York. The evening featured a current AMIT student, a recent graduate, and an alumnus who now teaches at an AMIT School. One of the highlights of the night was musical performances by Tamar Giladi, daughter-in-law of folk singer Naomi Shemer; Aviner Kaufman; Rami Harel; and a surprise appearance by the world-renowned performer Matisyahu. The buzz in the room was electrifying as everyone joined in to sing “One Day” with Matisyahu and Aviner.
