As Summer Approaches, Yogurt Lovers Flock to Bumbleberry’s ‘Grand Reopening’

As the large sign on its store window announces, Bumbleberry on Queen Anne Road is having a “Grand Reopening!” Not many know that Bumbleberry closed for a full week just a short while ago, but they are now “back and better than ever.”

Currently under the hashgacha of Rabbi Aaron Mehlman and planning to switch to the RCBC in the next week, Bumbleberry boasts a total of 18 rotating flavors of frozen yogurt, including new and exciting ones such as cotton candy, root beer float, Hawaiian pineapple, creamsicle and two rotating parve flavors, which recently was green apple and mango sorbets. There are 32 toppings available for yogurt, including fresh fruit, cookie dough, M&M’s, candy pieces, and chocolate, caramel, and white chocolate Ghirardelli syrup. Bumbleberry’s latest additions are waffles with fresh fruit, which cost $4.50 for two, and hot pretzels, a bargain at $1.75 each. Bumbleberry is continuing its variety of coffees and smoothies, and outdoor seating may be initiated for the summer as well. Summer hours are from 11 am to 10 pm, an hour later than open previously, and on summer Saturday nights until 1am. The Bumbleberry staff—Sophia Deutsch, Nechama Bildner, Yoni Friedman and Ari Hagler—led by new manager Chaim Kiss, all enjoy working there and call themselves “one big family.” “We’ve taken it back,” said Kiss. As the summer heats up, it is sure to have tremendous continued success.
