Cross River SINAI@RYNJ students were treated to a very special Chanukah presentation. Chana Stiefel, author of many children’s books, came to do an interactive read-aloud of her newest book, “Mendel’s Hanukkah Mess Up.” The students were enthralled with all of her props and costumes, all of which really made the book come alive. They were all engaged in the presentation and followed along as the story unfolded. Some of the children even had a chance to take on a role in the read-aloud. It was really fun to hear about all the mistakes that Mendel made and the students learned an important lesson about making mistakes and learning from them.

The author generously gifted each one of the students with a copy of her book. What a wonderful Chanukah present!
