Bat Mitzvah of Temmy Gerson

Temmy Gerson, daughter of Tova and Shai Gerson of Bergenfield, celebrated her bat mitzvah on Sunday, April 23, 2017 at Lubavitch on the Palisades in Tenafly. Her Hebrew birthday was the fifth of Nissan. The theme of the bat mitzvah was “bzchut nashim tzidkaniyot nigalu avoteinu mi’mitzrayim,” (in the merit of righteous women we were taken out of Egypt). Tova Gerson said the bat mitzvah was also a celebration “of the amazing women we have around us.” Guests were treated with chair massages— a nod to the work they just completed over Pesach, as well as henna painting and a photo booth. Grandparents Harry and Charlotte Katz of Hillcrest, New York and Jackie and Alan Gerson of Saint Louis, Missouri joined in the celebration. Temmy’s great grandfather Izzy Beigel of Toronto was unable to make the trip, but had his presence felt in the photo montage and video message. Temmy is a sixth grade student at Yeshivat Noam.
