BCFL Fifth Opening Week Is Soggy Success

Coby Shatzkes, Duvi Hertzberg and Noam Mirkahni of the 6/7 BCFL Saints hanging out during halftime.

(BCFL) This past Sunday Bergen County’s best and brightest flag football players kicked off the fifth season of Bergen County Flag Football. With 400 athletes, kindergarten through eighth grade, representing more than a dozen schools, Bergen County’s best athletes were on display. It was going to take more than a little rain to derail the boys of BCFL. The games were intense and well played with great sportsmanship. Note: the league will take a two-week break for Sukkot and resume on Sunday October 15.

New for this season, BCFL has partnered with four local restaurants to reward its volunteer coaches. Thank you to division sponsors: Burger Boss, The Humble Toast, Chopstix and La Cucina Di Nava. The coaches in each division will get a thank you gift from their division sponsor during the season.
