BCHA Welcomes New Director of Admissions

It’s a busy time of the year for Bi-Cultural Hebrew Academy’s new Director of Admissions, but Bonnie Marcus wouldn’t want it any other way.

“The first few months at my new position have been both exciting and rewarding,” said Marcus. “BCHA is truly the best place to work.”

Marcus’ experience is stellar and it’s obvious that she’s up to the task. As the director of Special Events at the 92nd Street Y in New York, she worked very closely with the nursery school, as well as managed the organization’s events and fundraising efforts.

“I am very excited to bring my skills to Bi-Cultural Hebrew Academy and watch the school continue to flourish in the years to come,” said Marcus.

In addition to getting her feet wet in her new position to start the school year, Marcus is planning an amazing Open House event at Bi-Cultural on Oct. 30, for the lower school and Nov. 6, for the upper school. She calls it “a very special must-see event.”

“From unique science experiments and creative art projects to delicious baking demonstrations and much more, children will always remember their first experience at Bi-Cultural Hebrew Academy,” Marcus said.

To say that Marcus knows a thing or two about the positive and welcoming experience at Bi-Cultural Hebrew Academy is an understatement. She has two children that have graduated from the school and one that is currently enrolled in the upper school.

“My three sons absolutely loved their time at BCHA,” said Marcus. They loved the academic rigor that the school provides, combined with the warmth and individualized attention of small class sizes and award-winning faculty.
