Thinking critically and respecting each other’s opinions have always been guiding values of BCHSJS, the Bergen County High School of Jewish Studies, a supplementary Sunday School program for Jewish teens in North Jersey. Students come from different backgrounds and fall all over the spectrum politically and religiously and that is great! In this activity a BCHSJS teacher presents a statement, and BCHSJS students choose if they agree (hold up a green paper), aren’t sure (yellow) or respectfully disagree (red). Then a healthy and kind debate follows.
