On March 23, as part of Ben Porat Yosef’s hands-on science program, first grade students embarked on an in-depth study of Bess Beetles (aka Passalidae). First, the students met the beetles and had the opportunity to practice holding them carefully. Then they drew detailed diagrams of the beetles and shared their observations and questions.
