Bergen County CHADD Monthly Expert Speaker Series will present “Rethinking Challenging Behaviors: Moving From Power Struggle to Problem-Solving” with Eleni Siderias on Monday, April 1 from 8-9:15 p.m. on Zoom.
In this interactive session, educator and consultant Eleni Siderias will provide parents and caregivers with a framework for increasing connection, compassion, communication and empathy in their homes. Participants will learn how to shift the dynamics in their home from power struggle and problem behavior toward problem-solving and proactive solutions.
Siderias is an educational leader, researcher and consultant. She supports families, mentors educators, and manages institutional change. She established Theory & Practice, providing coaching and consulting services to parents, educators, schools and districts. She holds a B.S. from St. John’s University (childhood education), an M.A. (gifted education), an M.Ed. (leadership in curriculum and teaching), and completed all coursework for an Ed.D. (curriculum and teaching) at Teachers College, Columbia University. She is a certified CPS provider.
